Let’s be honest. All of us struggle with discerning God’s will.
That’s the bad news. But here’s the good news: God gave us the church and the Bible to help us with difficult issues like discerning his will. In fact, one of the things the Bible teaches us is that we can’t discern God’s will entirely on our own. That’s where the 2013 NCF Men’s Retreat comes in.
We will begin with dinner at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 19, and end with corporate worship the following afternoon.
Our venue will be beautiful Mountain Dale Farm in McClure, Pennsylvania, about 60 miles from Mechanicsburg.
The cost of the retreat will be $65 per man for bunk-style housing and $95 for hotel-style. That includes dinner upon arrival on Friday night, a full, farm-fresh breakfast on Saturday morning, and lunch on Saturday.
Our speaker will be Tom Holliday, senior pastor of Alexandria Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, Virginia. Tom is a native Pennsylvanian and a dedicated follower of all Pittsburgh sports teams. Eagles and Flyers fans will be subject to a special $25 surcharge. The agenda is as follows.
