We all know we’re supposed to lead. And we know God cares about what we do on Sunday morning. But do you realize that there’s much more to leadership than being an elder or deacon? And do you understand that what you do on Monday morning (not just Sunday morning) has eternal significance?
Specifically, do you get that God cares passionately about what we do with the task that consumes most of most men’s time: our work?
The 2012 NCF Men’s Retreat is one step in a journey that will explore what leadership really means. It isn’t what you think. Join us to rediscover God’s plan for your work, and for the rest of your life.
THE SPEAKER: Our speaker will be Hugh C. Whelchel, the executive director of the Institute for Faith, Work, and Economics, and a ruling elder at McLean Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Virginia. After the retreat, Hugh’s book, How Then Should We Work? Rediscovering the Biblical Doctrine of Work, will form the basis for an NCF Sunday school class.
THE DATE: We will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 28, and end with corporate worship the following afternoon.
THE VENUE/COST: Our venue will be beautiful Mountain Dale Farm in McClure, Pennsylvania, about 60 miles from Mechanicsburg. The cost of the retreat is $65 per man for bunk-style housing and $95 for hotel-style. That includes dinner on Friday night, a full, farm-fresh breakfast on Saturday morning, and lunch on Saturday.
Please use this page or the table outside the sanctuary to sign up. Unfortunately, we are only able to accept online registrations, not online payments. Payment should be in the form of a check made payable to New Covenant Fellowship, with “Men’s Retreat” on the memo line, placed in the Mitchell mailbox.
QUESTIONS: Please contact Charles Mitchell at email@example.com.
